Troop 57 Baylands Cycling (Nov. 2)

The Baylands offers a great way to see nature without having to get in a car.  Wildlife and waterfowl abound!  Better yet, there are no cars along the bay, and no hills, either.

The 25-mile route will bike out to the Baylands, behind the Moffett Naval Air Station, and then turn around at Alviso Slough.  If you have never been out here you need to go.  If you have been out here, go again. It’s our backyard, and it’s beautiful.

The 50-mile route goes around the south part of the bay, and even gets pretty far into the middle of it (see loop above).  We go over the Dumbarton Bridge, past the tech companies and Tesla factory in Fremont, take a loop well into the bay, and then head along the bay back to Palo Alto.  We’ll want to get an early, quick start so that we can get back before the afternoon winds kick up.  [Flyer]
