High Adventure

Boy Scouts of America has 3 High Adventure camps that are highlights of a scout's outdoor experience.  In addition, Troop 57 typically has a 50+ mile backpacking trip in the Sierras each year.  The links below take you to pages with information on these high adventure options.  Go to the photo albums to see pictures from previous high adventure outings, and get fired up to go!

Northern Tier - canoeing in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota and Ontario, or float plane into a national park in Manitoba.

Philmont - BSA's crown jewel:  backpacking through 140,000 acres of the southern Rockies in New Mexico.

Sea Base - Sailing and/or scuba diving off of the Florida Keys and the Bahamas.

Sierra 50 Milers - Backpacking in that famous mountain range in our own state.
