On the chilly morning of May 30, 2026, Scouts from Troop 57 gathered once again at Golden Gate National Cemetery. Troop 57 immediately divided into groups and began respectfully removing flags next to the graves and repacking them into bundles. Soon, sunlight began to filter through and warm up the surroundings making the atmosphere more brisk and comfortable. Scouts removed flags and honored the fallen and after hours of work, they stopped to eat donuts. The outing was a way to pay respect to those who gave their lives in battle and clean up the cemetery.
