2021 Angel Island Hike Summary

On October 2nd, a group of Troop 57 and 4057 scouts led by Gabriela Hakeman and Mrs. Tan went on the annual Angel Island hike. While driving, we went through the golden gate bridge with all the fog around us. The ferry ride was great, and you could see the the golden gate bridge and the beaches. We hiked more than 10 miles through the steep hills. Snack was eaten at the summit of Mount Livermore and lunch was near the beach. At lunch Hailey Matta did a presentation on the history of Angel Island. We were able to see the military garrison and the immigration station and Scouts and adults got to learn about the fascinating history of the island. The angel island hike was absolutely wonderful!
