We had an awesome turnout for our scout activity this week on 12/2, with 15 scouts joining us for a presentation from the Palo Alto Police Department. Officer Mazzone and Officer Luu came to talk to us about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and how they can affect brain development and growth. They also shared what police officers do on the job and answered a lot of interesting questions from the scouts.
A special guest was Flash, the K9 police dog. Flash specializes in sniffing out explosive materials, and everyone loved getting to see him in action.
Huge thanks to Officer Mazzone, Officer Luu, and Ms. Mejia for putting this presentation together. And a shout-out to Ms. Bryna Lee for opening the Scout House for us as an unplanned request.
