On September 20, our Troop had a campout at Henry Coe State Park. We hiked about 2.5 miles to reach the campsite. Some scouts who are part of the Philmont crew also did a challenging 10-mile hike earlier in the day as extra training.
When we got to camp, we set up our tents and enjoyed the evening together. Even though campfires were not allowed, we used an “electric campfire” instead, which still gave us a fun atmosphere for our skits and trivia. Everyone had a good time working together.
