On Sunday, February 4th, Outdoor Ethics Guide Hailey Matta led an ice skating outing at Winter Lodge. This outing was super fun and the scouts who attended seemed to be having a great time. On this outing, Hailey taught some scouts requirements for the Skating Merit Badge and practiced them with the scouts. Though it was a bit chilly and not great weather for skating, this outing was a success!

Positives:
1) Good communication
2) Made sure all scouts paid on advance
3) Good amount of skating time
4) Inclusivity
5) No injuries!
Things to Improve On:
1) Bring snacks next time
2) Go into more basic skating skills and Skating Merit Badge requirements
3) Printing out pages from the merit badge workbook
4) Having other proficient skaters lead
5) Get refunds on tickets in case anyone dropped out
